Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide essential support role to the Manchester Academy Venues management team. You’ll oversee all aspects of the sale of tickets for events at MAV (Manchester Academy Venues): from initial allocation set-up to event marketing, to reporting accurate sales on show documents. It requires conscientiousness, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, whilst enjoying the creative side of delivering our marketing strategy. Additionally, you’ll assist with mentoring the MAV Intern and part-time Events Assistants.

Typical Working Day
Marketing and social media, ticketing, and assisting with diary management makes up the majority of the role. You will spend at least half of your time desk-based, completing admin tasks such as confirming allocation changes, and managing sales reporting to clients using emails and excel documents.

Setting up new shows to internal and external contacts is also a key part of the role. This involves careful management of emails from promoters, relaying information to all relevant team members and contractors via email, as well as ensuring the departmental shared working document is accurate.

The Marketing & Ticketing Manager leads on social media and manages the marketing schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met for: online show announcements, weekly newsletters, and print adverts, posters, and leaflets.

On show days, you are responsible for ensuring that all show close offs are completed, and barcodes are uploaded to scanners in time for doors, delegating tasks where necessary.
