Barbados collecting society COSCAP has partnered with two SoundExchange businesses: CMRRA and SX Works Global Publisher Services. Live Nation’s Festival Republic has applied for a licence to launch a new three day festival in Luton’s Stockwood Park, according to Luton Today. If approved, the event will run from 24-26 May.

Tomorrowland has partnered with Colombian promoter Breakfast Club on a new 10,000 capacity festival in the city of Medellín. Called Core Medellín, it will centre on Tomorrowland’s new seventeen metre high, fully transportable Core stage and take place on 11-12 May.

Global Citizen’s Move Afrika concert series will expand into Ghana later this year, having debuted in Rwanda last month with a show headlined by Kendrick Lamar. “We are honoured to bring Move Afrika to Ghana”, says Global Citizen’s Chief Vision Officer Kweku Mandela. “Our partnership with the Ghanaian and Rwandan governments will showcase the best of African creative talent to the world, while generating economic investment into the local creative economy, which will have a lasting impact across the continent for years to come”.

Former Universal Music execs Matt Voss and John Paveley have launched new artist management company Track 88. At launch they have two artists on their roster, hard rock band Torus and singer-songwriter Lo Lauren. “Track 88 is always the company we promised ourselves”, says Paveley. “We have two artists we have been developing over the last three or four years, and we now believe they are ready to have their work unveiled”.

Despite having retired from touring, Ozzy Osbourne is planning to play two farewell shows in his hometown of Birmingham. “He won’t tour again but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly’”, says his wife and manager Sharon Osbourne, according to The Mirror. The venue is set to be Aston Villa football club’s Villa Park stadium.
