The brief accompanying video featured an image of a screen covered with a white bedsheet, with videos of Black women in salons getting their hair washed, styled and cut. At press time no additional information was available on what products will be included in the line.

In May 2023, the singer posted a teaser for a hair-related project honoring her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson. “How many of y’all knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon?” Bey asked in an Instagram post highlighted by a vintage photo of her as a child getting her hair braided. “Destiny’s Child got our start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done.”

It continued, “I was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women in her salon. I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy.” At the time she did not reveal any additional information on the project.

That three-part carousel of photos also included one of the singer sitting in front of a mirror and another of her styling her natural curls.

While she did not take the stage, Beyoncé was in the spotlight on Sunday night at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where husband Jay-Z called out the Grammys over his wife’s repeated album of the year snubs during his acceptance speech for the Dr. Dre. Global Impact Award.
