After several R&B chart hits to his name, Bryson Tiller switches gears and lands his first top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart as “Whatever She Wants” debuts at No. 8 on the list dated March 2.

In the tracking week of Feb. 16-22, “Whatever She Wants” registered 11.9 million official U.S. streams, according to Luminate. Thanks to the sum, the track opens at No. 5 on the Rap Streaming Songs chart and gives Tiller his first appearance there. On the all-genre Streaming Songs chart, the new release begins at No. 15.

Streams provide essentially all the song’s activity for the week on the multimetric Hot Rap Songs chart, with minimal digital download sales and 322,000 audience impressions for radio airplay contributions for the remaining two metrics.

Tiller’s new track makes its chart debut following its official release after a demo version was available for months on Soundcloud. The original “Whatever She Wants” appeared on Tiller’s Soundcloud-exclusive Slum Tiller 2 mixtape, which premiered Nov. 9, 2023. On his X (formerly known as Twitter) profile, Tiller wrote that, due to “popular demand,” the song received a wide release through RCA Records across digital and streaming platforms on Feb. 13.

Elsewhere, “Whatever She Wants” starts at No. 11 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 32 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. On the former, the No. 11 entrance gives the rapper/singer the fourth-highest placement among his 25 visits. The new arrival trails only DJ Khaled’s 2017 seven-week No. 1 “Wild Thoughts,” on which he and Rihanna feature, and two 2016 hits: “Don’t,” which peaked at No. 4 and “Exchange,” which reached a No. 8 best.
