Nicki Minaj wasn’t messing around when she was teasing bringing the heavy hitters out for her “FTCU” remix.
The Barbz leader revealed on Thursday (April 18) that the star-studded trio of Travis Scott, Chris Brown and Sexyy Red would be joining her for the “FTCU (Sleeze Mix).” Mere hours later, Nicki closed out Aries season with a bang as the anticipated “FTCU” remix hit streaming services at midnight ET on Friday (April 19).
As far as the cover art goes, Minaj kneels on the oversized silver title of the track with a pair of black speakers flanking her. Underneath lies the names of the guest artists featured on the “Sleeze Mix.”
In its 18th week on the Hot 100, “FTCU” sits at No. 79 after peaking at No. 15. The Pink Friday 2 track should receive a chart boost thanks to the “Sleeze Mix.”
Minaj and Chris Brown have an extensive collaborative history as they’ve teamed up for tracks like DJ Khaled’s “Take It to the Head,” 2012’s “Right By My Side,” Breezy’s “Love More,” 2014’s “Only” with Drake and Lil Wayne as well as Meek Mill’s “All Eyes on You” and Khaled’s “Do you Mind” in 2016.
Nicki lent Sexyy Red a major co-sign when hopping on the remix to her “Pound Town” hit last year to give the St. Louis native her first Hot 100 entry.
However, this marks the first team-up for Minaj and Travis Scott. La Flame and the “Super Bass” rapper appear to have squashed their feud. Nicki put Scott and his family on blast in 2018 for selling merchandise bundles with his ASTROWORLD album to block Minaj’s Queen from taking the top spot on the Billboard 200.
Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour continues this weekend with stops in Toronto and Detroit.
