Millie Bobby Brown has officially married Jake Bongiovi, his father Jon Bon Jovi has confirmed.
The star said the couple recently tied the knot in a “small family wedding” on the BBC One Show.
Asked how they were doing, he replied: “They are great, they are absolutely fantastic.”It was a very small, family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be. It’s true.”
Reports that the Stranger Things star had tied the knot with Bongiovi first surfaced over the weekend. They had been engaged since April 2023, having rumoured to be dating since June 2021.
Stranger Things co-star Matthew Modine recently revealed that Brown asked him to officiate her wedding to Bongiovi, saying: “I have one of those licenses to get people married and Millie thought it’d be great and then Jake said it would be a great idea, so I wrote the wedding vows and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife.”
Meanwhile, Bon Jovi previously said that he gave his son his blessing: “I don’t know if age matters. If you find the right partner and you grow together … my advice really is growing together is wise. I think that all of my kids have found people that they think they can grow together with and we like them all.”
“Millie is wonderful,” the rock icon added, saying that his son is “very, very happy.”
Brown previously confirmed that Bon Jovi would not be performing at her wedding, explaining: “I feel like that’s asking me to go and like, do a full-on play for everyone. I think the man needs a break, he doesn’t stop! He’s always doing tennis or singing lessons… I think he needs a break, maybe it’s a three-hour break!”
She recently appeared in her latest film Damsel on Netflix, whilst Bongiovi has just starred in a comedy called Rockbottom, a film about a hair metal band.
