Camila‘s first set in five years, Regresa, has topped this week’s new music Latin poll.

In a poll published on Friday (Aug. 2) — in support of the weekly New Music Latin roundup and playlist, curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — music fans voted for the Mexican trio’s comeback album, Regresa, as their favorite music release of the week.

Regresa generated over 80% of the votes, beating out other new releases that dropped that week, including Edén Muñoz’s “NTP,” La Doña’s “Confesiones,” Luis R Conriquez, Tony Aguirre and Kevin Santin’s “Tacha$ & Tu$$i,” plus Justin Quiles’ new Permanente album.

Coming in second place was JAZE’S “mil procedimientos.”

With the 10-track set, the pop ensemble — composed of Mario Domm, Samuel “Samo” Parra and Pablo Hurtado — maintains its original essence of pop ballads but also experiments with other styles, including romantic pop tunes to rock progressions, shades of blues and even mariachi — in songs like “Diamantes y Amaranto” and the powerful “Corazón en Coma” with Edén Muñoz — and emotional lyrics in the best style of the trio.

“We have worked hard to create something truly special,” Hurtado said in a statement. “This album is not only a return to our roots, but also a leap forward to the future.”

Last week, music fans crowned Grupo Frontera and Romeo Santos’ bachata track “Ángel,” their first collaborative effort, as the winner bringing in more than 42% of the votes.
