50 Cent has revealed that he turned down $3million to perform at a recent Donald Trump rally in New York.
The rapper and actor, who endorsed Trump in the run-up to the 2020 US election, said in a recent interview on The Breakfast Club that he “got a call” to ask if he wanted to participate in his event at Madison Square Garden last Sunday (October 27).
50 – real name Curtis Jackson – explained that he had also been approached to play his 2003 song ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ during the 2024 Republican National Convention this summer.
“They offered me $3million,” Jackson said. When asked if this was for the RNC or for the MSG rally, he responded: “This past Sunday.” The star then confirmed that he offered the same sum for both events.
Confirming that he declined the proposal, Jackon explained “I didn’t even go far… I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid about politics. I do not like it – no part of politics.”
He added: “It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.” Check out a clip of the conversation below.
‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ appears on 50 Cent’s debut studio album ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin”, with its official video focussing on the rapper’s shooting in 2000.
The track became an anthem for Trump and his supporters in the 2024 US presidential election after the attempted assassination attempt on the former POTUS in July.
50 responded by sharing a mock-up of Trump’s face superimposed onto the cover of his first studio record. “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending,” he captioned the artwork (see below).
It was later reported that 50 Cent was “in talks” to make an appearance at the Republican National Convention. Trump then walked out to ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ during an Adin Ross live-stream.

The song’s producer Darrell ‘Digga’ Branch, said he did not want Trump to use the track. However, 50 has performed ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ with the photoshopped Trump album artwork project behind him (watch above).
Speaking last month about why voters identified with Trump after the shooting attempt, Jackson explained (via Fox News): “He says fight. All right. And that’s exactly what I did after I got shot. I just went into fight mode. People identify with it that way.”
He also confirmed that streams of ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ had increased by 250 per cent on streaming platforms.
Writing on social media earlier this year, 50 said: “I think Trump’s gonna be president again, but I’m not going to say that.”
Jackson backtracked on his endorsement of Trump in 2020 following criticism from his ex-girlfriend, comedian and actor Chelsea Handler, having initially doubled down on his stance. “Fuck Donald Trump, I never liked him,” he wrote at the time.
He had previously aired his support for Trump – even though he “doesn’t like black people” – after voicing his concerns about proposed tax increases for top earners under Joe Biden.
The 2024 US presidential election is due to take place next Tuesday (November 5). Trump is running against Democratic nominee and current Vice President Kamala Harris.
