Billie Eilish released a hauntingly beautiful live reimagining of her single “Skinny” on Dec. 3 on YouTube.
The performance was part of Amazon Music’s new docu-performance series, Songline, which pairs intimate performances from artists with in-depth interviews about their songwriting.

“Skinny” has been streamed more than 545 million times, peaking at No. 7 on the Spotify global chart and No. 9 on its U.S. chart. The song is from her 2024 album Hit Me Hard and Soft.
Eilish and her brother, producer FINNEAS, rearranged other songs for the series from the album, such as “Wildflower,” “L’amour De Ma Vie,” and “Birds of a Feather,” with opulent strings and elaborate new choral arrangements.
“Songline offers an opportunity for songwriters and their collaborators to showcase their process, detail their journey, and reveal the stories behind songs typically hidden away in studios,” said Tom Winkler, head of publisher, songwriter, and society relations at Amazon Music. “By placing songwriters at the forefront, fans can learn how their favorite songs and records were made.”
Additional episodes of the series will debut in the coming months and feature some of the biggest songwriting names.
