Dead & Company had so much fun at the Sphere in Las Vegas this year that they’re reprising their Dead Forever residency in 2025. In celebration of their 10th anniversary, the group has announced 18 new shows at the cutting-edge venue, beginning March 20. Tickets go on sale Dec. 10 through an artist presale.
The upcoming dates will feature “updated visuals” to augment the stunning, career-spanning collection introduced during this year’s inaugural 30-show Sphere residency. Dead & Company is comprised of original Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, in tandem with guitarist John Mayer, bassist Oteil Burbridge and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. The band’s drum slot has been staffed since 2023 by Jay Lane while Bill Kreutzmann deals with health-related issues.

Before Sphere, Weir will stage his Dead Ahead festival Jan. 9-13 at Riviera Cancun, Mexico, alongside Chimenti, Burbridge and Lane, as well as Brandi Carille, Sturgill Simpson, Don Was, Trampled by Turtles, Brittney Spencer and Grace Bowers.
The Dead were also in the news last week thanks to a CBS interview with Weir, Hart and Kreutzmann about the recent passing of bassist Phil Lesh. During the conversation, group members said that before Lesh’s death, they’d been planning to play together for the first time in years as a potential precursor to a 60th anniversary Dead celebration next summer.
