The 2025 Golden Globes are just around the corner, and the nominations are creating a stir in Hollywood.

Leading the way with 10 nominations is Emilia Pérez, the most-nominated film of the year, while The Bear dominates the TV side with five nods. Shōgun and Only Murders in the Building follow closely, each earning four nominations.

Among the nominees, Disney alum Selena Gomez is making waves with two nominations: Best Performance by a Female Actor in a TV Series (Musical or Comedy) for her role in Only Murders in the Building and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for Emilia Pérez on Netflix.

Zendaya — another Disney child star — is also a major contender, up for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in Challengers.

Disney alums are continuing to make their mark, with Miley Cyrus nominated for Best Original Song (Motion Picture) for “Beautiful That Way,” from Pamela Anderson’s The Last Showgirl.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande — who is also known for her work on Disney competitor Nickelodeon — is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for her performance in Wicked.

The 82nd Annual Golden Globes will be hosted by Nikki Glaser and air live on Sunday, January 5, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
