More from Spin:

Alabama Shakes’ last proper concert was eight years ago at Montreal’s Osheaga festival, after which singer/guitarist Brittany Howard embarked on a successful solo career. The group reunited for a secret nine-song set last month in Tuscaloosa, Al., and Howard also debuted her new hardcore band, KUMITE, at a recent show in Nashville.

Drummer Steve Johnson did not perform with the Shakes in Tuscaloosa and his status in the band is unclear following a 2021 arrest on child abuse charges, which were later dismissed.
