Billie Eilish was among a host of stars who hailed Doechii‘s Grammys 2025 performance in LA last night (February 2).
The hip-hop artist won the coveted Best Rap Album at the awards ceremony with her mixtape ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal’, beating out the likes of Eminem, J. Cole and Future. Doechii’s win also makes her the third female artist to receive the award after Lauryn Hill and Cardi B.
But her live performance on the night was one of the highlights of the show with the rapper receiving a standing ovation from the crowd including Jay-Z, SZA and Billie Eilish, who looked visibly amazed, when the camera cut to her and she said: “Oh my God!”
The performance saw Doechii perform ‘Catfish’ and ‘Denial Is A River’ as the former saw her rapping against a massive backlit fan as a group of gray-clad dancers bounced along below. After that, Doechii went ground-level, stripped down and moved into a treadmill-set performance of ‘Denial Is A River’. You can view footage below.

Comedian Trevor Noah returned to host the event for the fifth consecutive year and it was Beyoncé who beat Eilish for the biggest award of the night, Album Of The Year taking home the victory for the first time with her ‘Cowboy Carter’ record.
Kendrick Lamar got the most awards on the night, taking home five trophies for Record of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Music Video.
