Tiësto has teased a possible performance at Glastonbury Festival 2025.
During a new interview on Capital UK‘s Evening Show With Jimmy Hill, the Dutch DJ and producer was asked whether he had any plans to return to the UK for festival season.
“I’m working on it now actually, so I haven’t really made the plans yet,” he responded. “But maybe Creamfields maybe Glastonbury, you know, I’m talking to all of these guys, so we’ll see. Trying to find the balance in life!”
The Grammy-winning trance artist has not performed at the legendary Worthy Farm event previously. He has appeared on the bill at Creamfields many times, and last headlined the EDM festival in 2023.
Tiësto released his seventh and latest studio album, ‘Drive’, in 2023. The record featured collaborations with the likes of Charli XCX, Black Eyed Peas and Tate McRae.
Last year, Tiësto was scheduled to appear as the Super Bowl’s first-ever in-game DJ in Las Vegas, but the star was forced to pull out due to a “personal family emergency”. He was replaced by Kaskade.
Glastonbury 2025 is due to take place between June 25 and June 29. Last month, organisers confirmed Neil Young as the first Pyramid Stage headliner for this summer after the musician initially pulled out of the slot.
He had called Glasto “a corporate turn-off”, owing to its partnership with the BBC. Young later backtracked, however, citing “an error in the information received”. The singer-songwriter first headlined Glastonbury in 2009.
It has also been announced that Rod Stewart will take on the coveted Legend Slot this year. Nile Rodgers accidentally revealed last November that he and Chic would be playing in the slot immediately after Stewart’s.
No other acts have been confirmed for Glasto ’25 yet, but the first line-up poster usually arrives in March.
Current rumoured names include Olivia Rodrigo, Sam Fender, The 1975, Stevie Wonder and Alanis Morissette. Read NME‘s full list of potential headliners here.
Re-sale tickets are expected to go on sale in the spring. The initial batches of tickets quickly sold out last November, with the festival making use of a new queuing system for booking.
In other news, Glastonbury recently launched this year’s Emerging Talent Competition – giving new artists the chance to perform at Worthy Farm this June.
