blackpink lisa comic graphic novel alter ego album accompanying

BLACKPINK’s Lisa has announced the release of a comic series to accompany her upcoming solo debut album ‘Alter Ego’.

BLACKPINK rapper Lisa announced the launch of a new venture, Lalisa Comics, in partnership with Zero Zero Entertainment. The partnership’s first project will be a 56-page graphic novel titled Alter Ego: The Official Comic.

Authored by Lisa herself and illustrated by MINOMIYABI, the new comic will give fans a deeper glimpse into the five personas introduced by Lisa for ‘Alter Ego’ – Vixi, Roxi, Kiki, Sunni and Speedi – through comicbook storytelling.

“When three ruthless bullies trap Vixi in a virtual reality nightmare, her friends dive headfirst into the digital battleground,” reads a description on the product’s website. “Proving that while Vixi may work alone, she never has to fight alone.”

The novel is now available for pre-order and will ship out on March 24, slightly under a month after the release of the ‘Alter Ego’ album on February 28.

Lisa recently dropped ‘Born Again’ and featuring RAYE and Doja Cat, the fourth single from the new album. It marked her first music of 2025, after she spent 2024 dropping three other singles: ‘Rockstar’, ‘New Woman’ featuring Rosalía and ‘Moonlit Floor’..

‘New Woman’ was named by NME as one of the best 25 K-pop songs of 2024, with NME‘s Mika Chen writing: “From the charismatic Rosalía feature to the artful airiness of the pre-chorus, ‘New Woman’ has a lot going for it – all which comes together effortlessly as one of the most intoxicating fares of the year.”

She also recently starred in the new third season of The White Lotus, marking her debut on the small screen. In a recent interview about her involvement on the series, Lisa revealed that the audition process was “not easy”.
