The singer-songwriter and producer is due to top the bill at the three-day event on Saturday June 21. He’ll deliver an “intimate piano show” at The Woodland venue on the Wasing Estate, Berkshire.

Andrew Perkins, CEO of Wasing Estate, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have James Blake perform at Solstice At Wasing, joining an incredible bill with Anoushka Shankar and many others.

“Here at Wasing, we are all about creating a real connection between artists, audiences and the natural world and we’re delighted to work with artists who share our ethos.”

A description reads: “For one magical weekend, Wasing invites concertgoers to come together to mark the Summer solstice, which takes place on the same day everywhere on the planet [June 21], connecting everyone in a truly global moment.

“Set on Wasing Estate, The Woodland is a stunning enclave right in the heart of the countryside. A unique and mindful space; this is a truly transportive venue to see defining live acts, fully immersed in nature.”

Solstice At Wasing has expanded to a full weekend festival this year. Other acts on the line-up include the aforementioned British-American sitar player and musician Anoushka Shankar, who will headline the Fireside Sessions on the Friday night (June 20).

“For those seeking a free-spirited experience, the Fireside Sessions takes place as an evening concert by the Sacred Glade fire on the estate, giving a moment to connect with nature and the solstice vibes under the stars,” organisers said.

“The following morning a guided Sunrise Ceremony will take place at dawn to welcome the new sun.”

Elsewhere on the bill are the likes of Salif Keita, Nubiyan Twist, K.O.G. and The Turbans, Jill Purce, Soul Revolution, Wider Horizons and Chris Park. Check out the official line-up poster above.

In January, Blake surprised audiences when he played piano on Saturday Night Live to accompany Timothee Chalamet’s performance of Bob Dylan’s ‘Three Angels’, in promotion for A Complete Unknown.

Last December, Blake played two “intimate piano shows” at the Round Chapel in Hackney, London. He is set to return to the capital in May for an appearance at Field Day 2025.
