Lucy Dacus has debuted a handful of new songs from her upcoming album ‘Forever Is A Feeling‘ at her show in New York.

The singer took over St. Ann & The Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn on February 18 and opened with ‘Hot & Heavy’ and ‘Christine’ from her 2021 LP ‘Home Video’. She then treaded attendees to her more recent single releases: ‘Ankles’ and ‘Limerence’ which were the first two tracks released from ‘Forever Is A Feeling’ which is set for release on March 28 via Polydor/Geffen (pre-order/pre-save here).

She then jumped into a couple of new unreleased songs that are set to appear on her next LP. According to SetlistFM, Dacus played two new songs and followed them by ‘VBS’ and then played two other unreleased tracks. In total, the night saw her debut six new songs in total. Check out footage of some of the tracks below.

Dacus closed out the night’s performance in the Brooklyn church with two more songs from her ‘Home Video’ album – ‘Going Going Gone’ and ‘Night Shift’.

Earlier this month, the singer shared the third single – ‘Best Guess’ from ‘Forever Is A Feeling’. The track was described as Dacus’ “unique take on a love song, an anthem of queer tenderness that captures that mix of excitement and uncertainty as two people take a romantic chance with one another”.

‘Forever Is A Feeling’ contains contributions from Hozier, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, Madison Cunningham, Collin Pastore, Jake Finch and Melina Duterte. Dacus’ Boygenius bandmates Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker also make appearances.

In a previous statement about the LP, Dacus explained: “I got kicked in the head with emotions. Falling in love, falling out of love. You have to destroy things in order to create things. And I did destroy a really beautiful life.

“You can’t actually capture forever. But I think we feel forever in moments. I don’t know how much time I’ve spent in forever, but I know I’ve visited.”
