Travis Scott thinks wrestling “might be better than performing” – see what the rapper had to say below.

Last weekend (March 1), the ‘Sicko Mode’ rapper made headlines by not only appearing at WWE’s Elimination Chamber event in Toronto, Canada, but for also playing a role in the show’s closing segment.

During the segment, Travis Scott – whose song ‘4×4’ is the current theme song of WWE Raw – accompanied Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to the ring to confront John Cena and WWE champion Cody Rhodes, demanding that the latter “sell his soul” to him in order to become the “greatest” champion ever. John plays a fictional antagonistic authority figure who is a member of WWE’s board of directors.

Later in the segment, Rhodes denies Johnson’s offer, telling him to “go fuck yourself”, prompting John Cena to turn on him and start beating him up. Travis Scott joins in on the beatdown, smacking Cody in the face in the process.

Now, WWE’s Chief Content Officer and former wrestler Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has shared a behind-the-scenes video of his interaction with Travis Scott backstage following the segment. Following an embrace, Travis Scott said: “Bro, this might be better than like, lowkey, performing. It was like a whole ‘nother vibe. It was so crazy… I’m already hooked.”

He then joked that he’s going to get wrestling rings installed in his house. Check out the clip below.

In a post-event conference, Johnson was asked if Travis Scott would ever wrestle, offering a simple response: “Yes.” Additional reports from wrestling journalists claim that Scott has been training for his in-ring debut, adding that Scott having a match is a real possibility.

It is the second time Scott has had a significant on-air role with WWE in recent weeks, after he accompanied Jey Uso on his entrance through the crowd on the episode of WWE Raw that followed Uso’s win at February’s Royal Rumble event.

Should Travis Scott step foot in the ring for a match, he would be the latest high-profile musician to do so in recent times. Bad Bunny had three matches between 2021 and 2023, and is often credit with being the “best” celebrity wrestler.

Scott was not the only rap star to be in attendance at Elimination Chamber, with both Drake and Lil Yachty seen sitting in the front row at the Rogers Centre. Drake’s appearance was particularly noteworthy given it came just days after he had pushed back four shows in Australia and New Zealand due to a “scheduling conflict”.

The ‘God’s Plan’ artist was not acknowledged on camera at last weekend’s event, but pictures of him in attendance began circulating on social media, prompting fans to joke that WWE was “on the wrong side of the kendrick vs drake beef,” with others chiming in to say rival wrestling company AEW should have Kendrick Lamar at one of their events next.

Later this year, Scott will headline Reading & Leeds 2025 alongside Bring Me The Horizon, Chappell Roan and Hozier. He has also spoken recently about his hopes of collaborating with Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift.
