The Hasselhoff family has suffered a heartbreaking loss. Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife, has died by suicide — she was 62.

According to TMZ, the Baywatch actress was found at her Hollywood Hills home on Wednesday, March 5, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Family members became concerned when they hadn’t heard from her and went to check in. Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene.

The following day, David, 72, took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm the news.

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” the ’80s TV icon wrote on Thursday, March 6. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult period but kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

Fans wasted no time reacting to his post. 

“So sorry for this unimaginable loss David. Sending love, thoughts and prayers 🙏 ❤ ♥,” one person wrote.

“I’m so sorry for your loss and especially send my love to your girls x,” another added.

“Omg what a shock!! so sorry! Rest in peace. God bless you David , Taylor Ann and Hayley Amber!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤,” chimed in a third.

Pamela and David were married from 1989 to 2006, sharing two daughters, Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32. An autopsy is expected to be conducted, but no further details have been released.
