Dolly Parton is thankful for the love and support she’s receiving after the death of her husband, Carl Dean.

“This is a love note to family, friends, and fans. Thank you for all the messages, cards, and flowers that you’ve sent to honor my beloved husband Carl,” she wrote. “I can’t reach out personally to each of you, but know that it has meant the world to me. He is in God’s arms now, and I am okay with that.”

She ended her post with a reference to one of her famous songs, “I will always love you.”

Parton and Dean were married for nearly 60 years and kept their relationship private.

She spoke warmly of their life together when announcing his passing, saying, “Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.”

The cause of his death has not been revealed.
