Ariana Grande has posted a teaser for a new ‘Eternal Sunshine’-related release, alongside a pre-save link – watch the clip below.

The brief and cryptic video showed up on the pop star’s Instagram on Saturday (March 8), and it shows familiar objects from the video for ‘We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)’ video, including a cuddly teddy bear, engulfed in a fiery blaze.

At the same time, a link to pre-save a new release on Spotify and Apple Music was added to Grande’s Instagram bio. No further information on what the release may be comprised of has been provided.

It comes amid speculation that a deluxe version of the singer’s seventh album may be imminent. While on the red carpet at the Oscars last week, she was asked about its status, and she said: “It must come out”.

“They did the Brighter Days memory erasure treatment to me, so I’m having trouble remembering the details, they’re foggy,” she added, referring to the fictional clinic from the ’We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)’ video. The new clip was also posted to an account named ‘Brighter Days’.

Grande was then asked whether the deluxe version would be out soon. “Soon means ten days or less,” she said. “I’m not allowed to use this word at the moment. I’m not going to use that word today. I’ll say that.”

Earlier this year at the Golden Globes, Grande revealed the first hints at an extension of the album by confirming that “an attachment” to her 2024 record ‘Eternal Sunshine’ “does exist”.

In a four-star review of ‘Eternal Sunshine’, Nick Levine wrote for NME: “On the one hand, ‘Eternal Sunshine’ is a spacey but relatable break-up album defined by its emotional maturity. “We both know I couldn’t change you – I guess you could say the same,” she sings on the title track. On the other, it’s the most sophisticated project yet from a preternaturally talented vocalist who keeps getting better. Whatever you take away from it, ‘Eternal Sunshine’ definitely isn’t an album you’ll want to wipe from memory.”

Grande and her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo opened the show at the Oscars with a medley of Wizard Of Oz-related songs, with Grande singing ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’, and then joining Erivo on a duet of ‘Defying Gravity’. Grande was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, but lost out to Zoe Saldaña, who won for Emilia Pérez.
