Millie Bobby Brown recently switched up her look, causing fans and critics to note how much she’s changed since she burst onto the scene in the first season of Stranger Things. Now, her latest appearance on The Tonight Show has fans doing a double-take.
Brown, 21, competed in a karaoke-style game against host Jimmy Fallon during the Tuesday, March 11 episode of the program, which required both stars to remember the lyrics to ’90s songs. The actress and host both wore thick-rimmed protective glasses during the segment called “Say It, Don’t Spray It,” which involved being hosed in the face with water if they sang the wrong lyrics, rendering Brown almost unrecognizable to a number of viewers.

Fans of the Enola Holmes actress took to the comment section of a post featuring clips of the talk show segment where she wore the glasses to share their first impressions.
“Why is it that every time I see this gorgeous girl, she looks like an entirely different gorgeous girl?!?” asked one fan, while a second admitted, “Thought it was Hilary Duff.”
A third fan addressed the negative comments Brown has been getting since her makeover and wrote, “Everyone needs to stop hating on this delightful young woman!”
Brown posted a video on Instagram on Monday, March 3, where she called out the media and news outlets that have been coming after her looks and declared that she “[refuses] to make [herself] smaller to fit the unrealistic expectations of people who can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman.”
