Sleep Token performs live

Sleep Token have announced their fourth album, which is titled ‘Even In Arcadia’. Check out the lead single ‘Emergence’ and new US tour dates below.

The new announcement comes after the masked metallers began hinting at new material earlier this year by sharing sheet music online. They then began dropping cryptic updates with fans via email, indicating that a new era was on the way.

Now, the band have shared details of an upcoming album, which will be the long-awaited follow-up to ‘Take Me Back To Eden’. It is called ‘Even In Arcadia’ and is set for release on May 9 via RCA.

According to a new description, the LP marks a new chapter for frontman Vessel and co. and sees the band “continue the unfolding journey, where Sleep Token further intertwines the boundaries of sound and emotion, dissolving into something otherworldly.”

As well as announcing the new album, Sleep Token have also shared the first teaser of new music – releasing the sprawling lead single ‘Emergence’.

The track has already been given a four-star review from NME, and described as showing the metal band “at their sprawling, genre-defying best”.

“Clocking in at six minutes and 26 seconds, it shows the band now seem increasingly unafraid to execute these long, winding tracks which switch effortlessly between genres,” it read.

“If anything, ‘Emergence’ confirms the left turns they still have in store, and maintains the intrigue around the extent of the world-building on ‘Even In Arcadia’ – which some fans are expecting will step away from the connected trilogy of albums that came before,” it added. “In the meantime, we can only continue what Sleep Token always asked us to do: worship.”
