Fans at Jack White‘s show today (March 15) at Tokyo’s Toyosu PIT certainly got more than they bargained for, as the former White Stripes frontman welcomed Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder for a surprise cover of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World” during the encore.

The seemingly random team-up follows White’s performance of the song last month during the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary music special at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. White previously hosted a secret Pearl Jam show in 2016 at his Third Man Records facility in Nashville and joined the band onstage to play the unreleased fan favorite “Of the Earth.”

More from Spin:

White has one more show Monday in Tokyo before taking a short break from the road. He’ll be back in action for an extensive North American tour beginning April 3 in St. Louis.

As for Pearl Jam, the group will start a U.S. tour of their own April 24 in Hollywood, Fl.
