Timothée Chalamet seemingly spares no expense when it comes to his choice of clothing after he reportedly spent thousands of dollars on a denim jacket with patches on it — but it’s not just any jacket.

The 29-year-old purchased the embellished jacket from an auction that was selling an extensive collection of Bob Dylan memorabilia in January, according to a report by Vogue that was published on Sunday, March 16. The outlet reported that Chalamet paid $25,450 for the jacket, which was previously worn by Dylan in a scene from a movie he starred in called Hearts of Fire.

More from Spin:

The star’s purchase comes after the 2024 release of A Complete Unknown — a biopic about Bob Dylan’s life — in which he plays a younger Dylan. The star has previously been vocal about his appreciation for the 83-year-old singer-songwriter and his dedication to portraying him in the James Mangold-directed film.

Chalamet posted a photo of himself sporting his vintage jacket on Instagram on Saturday, March 15, with a caption that read, “some of you have been rocking with me for over 7 years now (!)…know how deeply grateful I am. and once it’s seven years plus it isn’t a fad lol, ur with me for life now 🥲 couldn’t do this without YOU. so many ppl directly and indirectly fruitionized this dream these last couple of months thank u.” The upcoming Dune: Messiah actor then tagged a number of accounts in the rest of the caption.

A Complete Unknown will be available for streaming on Hulu on March 27.
