Timothée Chalamet seemingly spares no expense when it comes to his choice of clothing after he reportedly spent thousands of dollars on a denim jacket with patches on it — but it’s not just any jacket.
The 29-year-old purchased the embellished jacket from an auction that was selling an extensive collection of Bob Dylan memorabilia in January, according to a report by Vogue that was published on Sunday, March 16. The outlet reported that Chalamet paid $25,450 for the jacket, which was previously worn by Dylan in a scene from a movie he starred in called Hearts of Fire.

The star’s purchase comes after the 2024 release of A Complete Unknown — a biopic about Bob Dylan’s life — in which he plays a younger Dylan. The star has previously been vocal about his appreciation for the 83-year-old singer-songwriter and his dedication to portraying him in the James Mangold-directed film.
Chalamet posted a photo of himself sporting his vintage jacket on Instagram on Saturday, March 15, with a caption that read, “some of you have been rocking with me for over 7 years now (!)…know how deeply grateful I am. and once it’s seven years plus it isn’t a fad lol, ur with me for life now couldn’t do this without YOU. so many ppl directly and indirectly fruitionized this dream these last couple of months thank u.” The upcoming Dune: Messiah actor then tagged a number of accounts in the rest of the caption.
A Complete Unknown will be available for streaming on Hulu on March 27.
