Kylie Minogue and Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa has performed a cover of Kylie Minogue‘s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ in Melbourne. Check out footage of the moment below.

The moment took place at the Road Laver arena in Melbourne today (March 20), as part of the singer’s ongoing world tour celebrating the release of ‘Radical Optimism’.

The gig marked the third of four scheduled shows at the venue – following on from stops there on March 17 and 19 and ahead of one on Saturday (22). However, at today’s show, the singer surprised fans by breaking out a hit track from one of the country’s biggest stars.

“This next part always keeps us on our toes a little bit, because every night we do something different,” she said midway through the show, during the section where she and the band perform a cover of a classic pop track.

“It’s always exciting because there are some songs that don’t need much of an introduction,” she added, going on to say that the chosen track this time around was one from “an Aussie legend” and breaking into a cover of Kylie Minogue’s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’.

At the show yesterday (March 19), the surprise song section of the show saw Dua Lipa break out a cover of Natalie Imbruglia’s classic track ‘Torn’, while the slot on the slot on Monday included a rendition of the rock classic ‘Highway To Hell’ from AC/DC.

The singer is set to continue the shows with one more show in Melbourne on Saturday (22).

From there, the pop star will head to the UK for even more live shows this summer, kicking off the run with two huge concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium (June 20, 21) followed by two dates at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on June 24 and 25.

Before then though, she’ll be touring across Europe performing in Paris, Belgium, Milan, Amsterdam and more. Visit here for Europe tickets, here for UK tickets.

The dates come following a huge headline slot at Glastonbury 2024, and after Lipa announced a special re-release of ‘Future Nostalgia’ in celebration of its fifth anniversary. The vinyl set will be released on March 28, almost exactly five years after the album first dropped.
