Building Services Assistant // The Halls (Wolverhampton)

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure venue safety and compliance through thorough maintenance and smart problem-solving.
  • Manage in-house and contracted services. Monitor performance and address issues quickly.
  • Perform various maintenance tasks, including electrical work (if qualified), decorating, plumbing, and general repairs.
  • Conduct regular property inspections for event prep, building condition, and safety compliance.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs to optimise building systems and equipment.
  • Compile detailed reports and help manage the budget.
  • Represent the Building Services team in important meetings.

 What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in building maintenance, especially in busy, customer-facing settings.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to coordinate in-house and subcontracted teams.
  • Familiarity with asbestos management in maintenance.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of budget management.
  • Strong grasp of health and safety practices, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

Where: You’ll be based at the venue in Wolverhampton. This role requires you to work 5 days out of 7, including working evenings and weekends at events.
