Scotty McCreery’s album might be called Rise & Fall, but fans weren’t expecting him to take the title so literally.
On Tuesday, March 25, the 31-year-old country singer shared a video of himself wiping out mid-performance while opening for Kane Brown’s High Road Tour.

“Who put that there?” McCreery joked on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “The Stage: 1, Me: 0,” over the clip.
In the footage, the American Idol alum (who won season 10 of the hit singing competition in May 2011) is seen pretending to fire an imaginary shotgun into the air — and then losing his balance. He appeared to land on his left wrist but bounced up quickly.
Backstage, McCreery’s crew didn’t let it slide. When asked about the highlight of the night, one team member said, “Scotty falling.” Another joked, “Glad he didn’t hurt himself, but it was just a little enjoyable.”
Shortly after posting, fans chimed in too.
“A pretty graceful recovery ,” one person wrote.
“Ouch Scotty, glad you are ok and you didn’t break any bones,” added another.
“Happens to the best of us,” someone else said.
“I’m sure that’s a highlight of your career so far ,” another joked.
The tumble comes just days after McCreery told People he’s gearing up for his string of U.K. summer shows. “My parents, my in-laws, my wife, my kid… we’ll make a little family vacation out of the European tour,” he told the outlet on Wednesday, March 19. “It’ll be a good time.”
The “Damn Strait” singer married Gabi Dugal in 2018, and together they share 2-year-old son, Merrick (aka Avery).
