The country superstar joined Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix during their iconic hit “Last Resort,” delivering the famous lyrics “this is my last resort” alongside him.
This performance came as part of the 25th-anniversary celebration of the song and marked the first time Underwood, 42, shared the stage with the band. The American Idol alum’s cameo isn’t that that much of a surprise, however, as the two collaborated on the song “Leave A Light On (Talk Way the Dark)” last year.
In a video of the moment was shared to Instagram by the band and Underwood, captioned, “@carrieunderwood joined @paparoach on stage in Las Vegas for their iconic hit ‘LAST RESORT’.”
“Jukebox Carrie is at it again ,” one fan commented on the video.
Another chimed in, saying, “Crossover event of the year .”
Others critiqued Roach, saying, “If she never did this again, I’d be fine with that. Love you guys, but no.”
“Really? Gonna get on stage and act all hard and not even drop the F bomb in the lyrics ,” a fourth noted.
The singer shared her own series of pics from the night on her Instagram. “Still in disbelief over this one. On Saturday, after my Reflection show, we changed my clothes, dried my hair and headed over to catch the @paparoach show down the street. Not only did I get to perform “Leave A Light On” with them, but I got called BACK out to do “Last Resort,” because, why not?!” she shared.
