The Scottish duo – Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton – returned in 2021 after 16 years away with comeback album ‘As Days Get Dark’, which went on to be nominated for the SAY (Scottish Album Of The Year) Award.

On May 10, they will return with their second album for Mogwai‘s Rock Action label, of which Moffat explained: “It’s about women being terrorised online; it’s about cowardice and bigotry. It’s about how we expose ourselves on social platforms while hiding alone at home. But you can dance to it too!”

The album’s title comes from a text sent to the band by their live drummer, and appears on its artwork. See that, its tracklist, the band’s upcoming tour dates and the video for ‘Bliss’ below.

Reviewing ‘As Days Get Dark’ upon its release, NME described the album as a career best for Moffat and Middleton, writing: “With lyrics that encompass the reality of ageing with all its wisdom and regrets, and with music that employs the deftness of touch that can only come with long-term honing, Arab Strap have delivered their defining record.”
In a new interview around the release of their comeback single ‘The Turning Of Our Bones’ in late 2020, their first new music in 15 years, the pair said that there was “no point getting back together to release mediocrity”.
