Madix described the new season as “weird and different” in an interview before the season premiere. “I know it’s going to be different,” she shared with TODAY.com in January. “I know it’s going to be weird, just because it felt weird and different for me.”

New to the Vanderpump Rules universe? The show became a ratings hit last year after Sandoval was exposed for cheating on Madix — his nine-year, live-in girlfriend with whom he bought a house — with former cast member Rachel Leviss. The cheating scandal broke in March 2023, causing producers to pick up the cameras again and film an additional finale episode for Season 10.

The entire cast reunited for the three-part reunion, where Sandoval and Leviss attempted to explain the cheating drama. Leviss watched portions of the reunion from a nearby trailer because she and Shay were not allowed to be within 100 yards of each other at the time (Leviss filed a restraining order against her co-star, which she later dropped). Leviss has since left the show and started a podcast.

Vanderpump Rules’ Season 11 premiere was watch by 3.2 million viewers, a 68% increase from the previous season, and the reunion scored huge ratings for Bravo.

Part one earned a season high of 2.036 million viewers, episode two wracked up 1.869 million viewers and 1.032 million for the third episode. That season’s finale reached a total of 4.1 million viewers, Variety reported at the time. The ratings increased from 1.8 million live viewers and the spike carried over to WWHL, which snagged a reported season high of more than 1.4 million viewers thanks to an appearance from Madix.

Last week’s season finale snagged over 1 million viewers, according to TV Deets, which means the reunion will likely top the million mark.

An additional episode, Vanderpump Rules: Secret Reveals, will air stream on Peacock on May 29, per Variety.

Despite a tricky living situation, Madix bought a new house and will be moving out of the home that she shared with Sandoval. The 38-year-old reality star turned heartbreak into a payday, inking deals with major brands such as SoFi, Lay’s and BIC razors, a starring role in the Broadway musical Chicago.

And she’s not done expanding her career. Madix, who plans to open a sandwich shop called Something About Her with Maloney, appeared in the Lifetime movie Buying Back My Daughter last year, released the cocktail book Single AF: Drinks for Bad B*tches, competed on the most recent season of Dancing With the Stars and will host the upcoming season of LoveIsland USA.
