Charli xcx is really your favorite reference, baby. Aminé is getting into the Brat Summer hype by dropping his “360.5” freestyle Tuesday.
His 2-minute, 11-second video features a sublime Euro summer backdrop, with the sun setting behind the rapper, who’s wearing neon-green swim trunks and holding a glass of wine, in Ischia, Italy. “Yeah, 360, turn around, bust it down, put it on me/ Ain’t no other n—a that can trick like me/ Take you everywhere, I’ll buy you Goyard/ Woodlawn n—a from the 5-0-3/ I wanna slut her out, respectfully/ I take her everywhere, Ischia or Milan,” he spits in his freestyle over Charli’s “360” from her latest critically acclaimed album Brat. Shortly after releasing the video on his socials, Aminé also released the song on SoundCloud.
Elsewhere in the track, Aminé shouts out Charli’s producer A.G. Cook, compares himself to Justin Timberlake‘s viral mugshot from his DWI arrest in June, interpolates Charli’s stage name (“My ex see my ex and I wanna have sex with both of ’em,” he raps in a higher-pitched tone) and references the titular line of another Brat track “Rewind.”
Charli xcx’s “360” single is steadily rising on the Billboard Hot 100, currently sitting at No. 55 on the chart dated Aug. 3, and is at No. 2 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. And its parent album Brat debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 following its release June 7 via Atlantic Records. From Aminé to Dave Grohl, who did the viral “Apple” dance with his daughter Harper, to even Vice President Kamala Harris, the brat agenda is officially taking over.
