Billboard’s Power 100 Event kicked off on Wednesday (Feb. 1) at Hollywood’s Goya Studios for a night that celebrated the hardworking executives in the music industry who have made a measurable impact over the past year across labels, streaming and more.
One of the executives honored at this year’s Power 100 Event includes HYBE chairman and noted K-pop producer Bang Si-Hyuk, who was presented with the Clive Davis Visionary Award by newly named HYBE America CEO, Scooter Braun, as well as Davis himself.
“My long journey has always been to live with music. I’ve always put music as a No. 1 priority, and offer diverse and immersive ways for fans to enjoy music. That has been my vision all along, and that’s my proudest achievement,” chairman Bang said while accepting the award. “With undying passion for music, I hope to keep striving to push the limits of our business in a way that truly honors the name of Clive Davis.”
Other notable moments of the evening included an appearance from global superstar Bad Bunny, who popped in to present his manager Noah Assad with the executive of the year award. “Unholy” singer Kim Petras also was in attendance, and presented Monte and Avery Lipman on behalf of Republic Records, during which she called Republic the “best label ever.”
Sabrina Carpenter, Jimmie Allen and Joshua Bassett were among other musicians in attendance, as well as Billboard president Mike Van and editorial director Hannah Karp. See photos from the event in the gallery below.
