Announced today (August 30), the new dates come on the heels of the band getting 2024 off to a huge start. Earlier this year, they shared their latest album ‘Mountainhead’, which became their sixth consecutive UK Top 10 album, and dropped the single ‘Cold Reactor’, which has made its way to being one of their biggest streaming and airplay hits to date.

Now, the Manchester art band have confirmed that they have one more huge surprise planned for the remainder of the year: a new headline tour that’ll take them across the UK.

Kicking off in November, the first show of the 10-date tour will be held at the Komedia venue in Bath on November 15. From there, the remainder of the dates will continue across the following month, starting with a date at Dreamland in Margate on December 4.

Shows in Birmingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Newcastle are lined up for December 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 respectively, before the dates conclude with shows in Norwich (12), Brighton (13) and Oxford (14).

Earlier this year to celebrate the new album, frontman Jonathan Higgs and co. embarked on a sold-out UK headline tour, and went on to join The Vaccines for a co-headline run of dates in Australia.

Since returning, they have made a number of huge festival appearances including slots at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, All Points East and a headline set at Future Now.

One of their UK headline shows earlier this spring was given a glowing four-star review by NME, which read: “Everything Everything will always have close associations with new technologies, but as tonight proves, they’re happiest on stage, creating new experiences with their fans in-person.

“Though they’re by no means an underground act – they’ve had four Top 10 albums in the UK – particularly with the glamorous, grandiose choice of venue tonight, it feels as though all of us there are in on something truly special and strikingly intimate.”

Ahead of the release, the band also spoke to NME about the inspiration for the project, and revealed that there was a political aspect that made its way into the lyrical inspiration. “We were reaching the absolute dregs of the Tories, and it had been embarrassing for so long, and then it became impossible to believe when Liz Truss appeared and robotically repeated the mantras about growing the economy with seemingly no plan at all, with that dead-eyed look,” Higgs explained.

“It just felt insane, so I just thought, I’m going to create a world where something ridiculous is going on, but everyone is doing it and no one seems to be asking any questions about it.”

Next month, Everything Everything are set to head to North America for a run of shows where they’ll be acting as special guests to Keane, who are currently celebrating 20 years of their breakthrough debut album ‘Hopes And Fears’. Find tickets to those US shows here.
