Axl Rose and John Mayer added a little spice to Billy Joel’s inaugural performance at the brand new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles last night (Oct. 12), during which the Piano Man also dusted off a rare cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Good Times, Bad Times” and sang with his eight-year-old daughter Della Rose on “My Life.”
Rose has performed on numerous prior occasions with Joel, including at the latter’s final Madison Square Garden residency gig in July. At Intuit Dome, they reprised their cover of Wings’ “Live and Let Die,” which Guns N’ Roses famously recorded for their 1991 album Use Your Illusion.

Earlier, before a rendition of “This Is The Time,” Joel introduced Mayer by calling him “a great guitar player. I admire this guy’s chops. He’s got this fluid technique. He’s great.”
Joel’s 31-song set also featured a partial version of “The Mexican Connection,” which he had not played live since 1984.
