For My Chemical Romance, the festival will come after the conclusion of their sold out 2025 North American tour, for which they sold 365,000 tickets within hours. During the ticket sale, fans took to social media to express their dismay at how expensive tickets for the stadium tour were.
According to a screenshot of the Ticketmaster website, tickets were priced at anywhere from $63.50-$695 (£50.30- £550.58). “$695 is NASTY WORK COUNT YOUR DAYS MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE!!!!” one fan wrote on X/Twitter.
The band’s former drummer Bob Bryar, passed away in November at the age of 44. He played with the band from 2004 until 2010.
Blink-182, meanwhile, will also be appearing at this year’s When We Were Young Festival, which has just announced a second date on October 19. Bassist and singer Mark Hoppus will also be touring the US to promote his memoir Fahrenheit-182, which is out on April 8.
Blink headlined the 2024 edition of Reading Festival. The slot earned them a four-star review by NME, who noted: “This set marks a long-awaited return for the pop-punk pioneers, and as far as Blink-182 shows go, it is adamantly clear that the members have no intention of letting go of the charm that helped get them to headliner status in the first place.”
“Yet, given what they’ve overcome in recent years, their dynamic in 2024 feels more nuanced than ever, and the effortless showmanship on display pushes them beyond the realm of nostalgia into something that will stand the test of time.”
As for Deftones, they will be touring around Europe this summer, including shows at the Eden Project in Cornwall and at Crystal Palace Park in London.
