Really want to be in I really want to be where I am now. I left New York and I left L.A. I feel like Goldilocks with the just right porridge.
Excited about I’m excited about my new single “Kinetic” and the wonderful music that’s in my future
My current music collection has a lot of Early 2000s alternative rock.
And a little bit of Disco, rap, and R&B.
Preferred format CDs. The best sound quality I can physically own. I treasure my mixtapes made from CDs more than any other music I own.
5 Albums I Can’t Live Without:
1
Basic Training: Boot Camp Clik’s Greatest Hits, Boot Camp Clik

This is the sound of ‘90s hip-hop in New York. These MCs and their songs were my hip hop link to New York when I moved to L.A. This album has tracks from four different groups and various combinations of those members. In my opinion, Leflaur Leflah Eshkoshka is the best collaborative rap song ever made. Starang Wondah makes his presence known on every song he spits on.
2
Hollywood’s Bleeding, Post Malone

A unique sound that brought melody into hip hop. I was introduced to Post Malone by binge listening all of his hip-hop albums. Every song back to back. When I looked at the Hollywood’s Bleeding track listing, it literally contained eight of my 10 favorite songs. Post Malone at the height of his craft. So inspired. Truly a classic.
3
Save Me, San Francisco, Train

As a grown up and a songwriter, this album entertained me, touched me, and motivated me to make better music. “This Ain’t Goodbye” and “You Already Know” are my two favorites. The first nine songs could easily all be singles. So refreshing to listen to that many songs and not feel the need to skip ahead. The band’s wisdom and experience comes through the music. One of the last great band albums.
4
Run-D.M.C., Run-D.M.C.

This was the first rap album that I regarded like albums in other genres. It had singles, it had album cuts, it had bonus tracks. “Sucker M.C.’s (Krush-Groove 1),” “It’s Like That,” “Hard Times,” “Rock Box.” This album showed me what a rap album could be. Really inspiring to a 16 year old.
5
Audioslave, Audioslave

I was a big Rage Against the Machine fan, but Audioslave took me to another level as a listener. Just thinking about the first time I got to hear Chris Cornell’s voice over Tom Morello’s guitar. Simply beautiful. “Like a Stone” is one of my all time favorites.
