Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has revealed what it would take for her to headline Glastonbury.

This year’s headliners have already been confirmed with Neil Young, The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo all set to top the bill.

But in a recent interview with the BBC, Gaga was asked about potentially headlining the bash.

When asked what it would take she said: “Not much.” When it was suggested “just telephone call” she replied: “Maybe”.

The singer-songwriter has only ever performed at Glastonbury once on The Other Stage in 2009.

The festival will return to Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset from June 25 to 29.

Sam Fender, Stevie Wonder and Rihanna (the latter with London stadium shows reportedly on the cards) were all rumoured to headline at this year’s bash but Gaga was not amongst the names touted.

She is set to headline Coachella 2025 alongside Green DayPost Malone and Travis Scott next month.

The event marks her second time topping the bill at the event, after headlining for the first time back in 2017.

Elsewhere, Gaga released her new album ‘Mayhem’ on Friday (March 7) which NME awarded four stars, noting: “Ultimately, ‘Mayhem’ feels like a great Gaga album because it’s just so much fun. At times, it’s a bit like reconnecting with an old friend who makes sense even when they seem to be chatting nonsense.”

“When she sings ‘river in my eyes, I’ve got a poem in my throat’ on ‘LoveDrug’, it’s just her overblown way of saying she’s sad and tongue-tied. Seventeen years after she broke through with ‘Just Dance’, Lady Gaga remains pop’s foremost agent of impeccably crafted chaos.”

She also recently performed two tracks from the record – ‘Abracadabra’ and ‘Killah’ – live on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.

The singer-songwriter pulled double duty, hosting the show as well as serving as the musical guest.

It was Gaga’s fifth time performing on the long-running sketch show and her second stint as host, and it comes just weeks after she also appeared on its 50th anniversary celebrations.
