The Italian singer-songwriter and frontman of the Eurovision winning band‘s solo album is set for release on May 16 via Sony Music Italy / Arista. It will feature his debut solo single ‘Born With A Broken Heart‘, the Labrinth-produced ‘Silverlines‘ and his latest release ‘Next Summer‘.
‘Funny Little Fears’ will be available digitally and on various physical formats such as vinyl and CD. Comprised of 14-tracks, the LP marks what a press release describes as a “bold and defiant new chapter in Damiano’s career and artistry.”
It promises to see David “break the moulds of expectation, both sonically and lyrically, defy genre boundaries, and bravely journey deep within the confines of his own mind as he confronts his fears.”

‘Funny Little Fears’ track list is
1. ‘Voices’
2. ‘Next Summer’
3. ‘Zombie Lady’
4. ‘The Bruise’
5. ‘Sick Of Myself’
6. ‘Angel’
7. ‘Tango’
8. ‘Born With A Broken Heart’
9. ‘Tangerine’
10. ‘Mars’
11. ‘The First Time’
12. ‘Perfect Life’
13. ‘Silverlines’
14. ‘Solitude (No One Understands Me)’
Previously speaking to NME about the album, David shared: “It’s going to be very excessive, very dramatic, very theatrical, I would say. It’s definitely more personal. It’s about the drama of being alive; especially under the circumstances.”
He also discussed the teaser video clip he shared when leading into his solo work last year which saw him say “I travelled all around the world to find my voice, just to end up where everything started”. When asked if the line pertained solely to his single ‘Silverlines’ the singer replied:” No, it’s more personal on a human level. In the last few years, we worked a lot and I was starting to lose the focus. I was starting to value things that are not actually very valuable for me. I was basically making myself unhappy, and I was doing pretty good at it.
“This journey was a lot about cutting out all the excess and everything that wasn’t 100 per cent necessary for my happiness and satisfaction. It was more external, ejected ideas that were not organic to me. I got caught in it. I had to do a lot of work on myself to find who I am.”
The Italian artist is set to hit the road later this year, having made his solo live debut in New York last October. After the initial tour announcement, more dates were added due to “phenomenal demand”.
Writing on social media, David said: “I’m absolutely blown away by your response to this tour so far. I cannot wait to sing and dance with you all next year.” See all tour dates below and visit here to purchase UK tickets and here for US tickets.
