everglow yiren not been paid income since debut yuehua entertainment

EVERGLOW member Yiren has revealed that the K-pop girl group have made “zero income” since they debuted six years ago.

EVERGLOW’s Yiren made the claim on March 18 though the fan community app Bubble. “I love the stage very much but in a sense I have zero income,” she wrote, as translated by Koreaboo. “But I don’t want to give up this career? In reality we haven’t settled yet, not once.”

“So, the tour is really what we want to show our fans, and we are working hard to prepare,” she added, referencing EVERGLOW’s upcoming ‘Pulse & Heart’ tour of Japan that’s due to begin this week. She also apologised to fans for not having “new songs and performances to show everyone”.

When a fan expressed disbelief about EVERGLOW’s lack of income for the past six years, Yiren wrote: “From debut until now, not even once. I’m a worker with zero salary.”

However, she went on to assure fans that it was okay with her. “At least I can still see Forever (EVERGLOW’s fanbase). And have the chance to stand on stage. It’s fine,” she said. Yiren’s label, Yuehua Entertainment, has yet to address the singer’s claims.

EVERGLOW’s last release was their fifth single album, ‘Zombie’, which came out last June. It marked the only music the six-piece released in 2024, before they embarked on the first half of the ‘Pulse & Heart’ world tour.
