New York City dance promoter Teksupport is taking the party to the New York City harbor.

The company is unveiled on Friday (Jan. 12) a partnership with the Cornucopia Majesty, a 30,000-square foot private yacht that provides luxury cruises past the New York City skyline, the Statue of Liberty and other landmarks. The boat’s observation deck can accommodate up to 1,200 guests.

Teksupport At Sea will be an 18-show event series that sets sail on May 26, during Memorial Day Weekend. This opening party will depart from Pier 40 on the Westside Highway in Manhattan and cruise the Hudson River. The full season schedule will be announced in February.

“We usually don’t do boat parties, but last year on Labor Day, the Teksupport: Dixon open-to-close set was so good that I immediately sat down with ownership and we decided to come together exclusively to produce some of the best electronic music events to ever hit the New York Harbor,” Teksupport founder Rob Toma tells Billboard.

Teksupport will have the exclusive rights for booking electronic events on the yacht.

As Toma said, inspiration for this partnership came when Teksupport hosted a show by Dixon on the Majesty in September. Teksupport is a leader of the New York City nightlife scene, hosting dance events around the city since 2010. Its shows often take place in unique locations such as submarine factories, navy yards, ballrooms and Grand Central Station.

“Since [after the pandemic], we’ve been gaining a lot of real momentum,” Toma told Billboard late last year, “and we really kind of just [kept] turning it up.”

In 2023, Toma and his 20-person, Brooklyn-based team put on 104 shows at venues including 99 Scott, Brooklyn Army Terminal, Brooklyn Navy Yard and various warehouses.
